Getting started
Choose one use case, one owner and a first working agreement.
Purpose
Begin with a decision people need to make, not a tool inventory. Identify the intended consumer, the value to observe and the domain that can take responsibility. Keep the first scope small enough to review with its owner and steward.
Working sequence
- Name the decision, consumer and intended purpose.
- Identify Hive, Cell and accountable product owner.
- Inventory the authorised sources and classify the data.
- Draft a contract and agree quality thresholds and review authority.
- Deliver a limited version with the appropriate access controls.
- Observe use, review limitations and record the next improvement.
Minimum baseline
Every shared product needs ownership, a contract, a classification, policy-based access and an audit trail. Each ecosystem adapts role names, approval routes, thresholds and review cadences around that minimum.
Synthetic example
A fictional service-planning team needs a weekly aggregate of requests. The service domain owns the meaning; a subdomain team prepares the data; a product owner agrees freshness and allowed use. The first release is an internal aggregate, not a copy of identifiable source records. The team records quality results and reviews whether the product supports the intended planning decision.
